General Properties in Ayurveda

Kaunch beej is indicated in Ayurveda for its ‘Balya’ (muscle strengthening) & ‘Branghan’
(anabolic) properties. In Ayurvedic system of medicine Ayurveda it is considered
that Kaunch helps to improve vitality and vigor. Recent researches have proved it
to be effective as analgesic, aphrodisiac, diuretic, lithotripter, nervine & rejuvenative
tonic.

Internal Usage: |
Kaunch is used in wide range of ailments in Ayurvedic medicines.

It is a ‘Balya’ means muscle strengthening & ‘Rasayana’ herb & is used for rejuvenation
and revitalization of musculo-skeletal system.

Digestive System:
|
It helps in worm infestations as of round worms etc.
|

Uro-genital System:
|
Kapikachhu has excellent diuretic properties. In females it is used in formulations
for uterine inflammation and painful menstruation. Seeds of Mucuna pruriens are
widely used in Ayurvedic formulations as a tonic for stimulating male genital system
and in conditions such as loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, oligospermia & impotence.

It is used in Vata disorders & to stimulate nervous system.
